Cogeneration Systems

In locations with insufficient sunlight or no access to electricity, a combined power calculation is performed for artificial lighting, and a cogeneration system is installed using natural gas. A combined heat and power unit (cogeneration unit) fully integrates heat and electricity. Electricity production generates heat, which can be used to warm the greenhouse. The electricity can be used to power artificial lighting for crops or other electrical systems within the greenhouse. Producing heat and electricity simultaneously in this way saves energy. A cogeneration unit is also environmentally friendly, as it is a relatively clean production process and ensures efficient use of fossil fuels. Additionally, it is possible to purify emissions from the cogeneration unit and use the CO2 generated to fertilize plants in the greenhouse. Cogeneration units are available in various capacities, and we are happy to advise you on the best solution based on your company’s size and electricity requirements.
